Get a VCU fixIT service plan today. It covers four years of repairs up to the limit of liability. Repairs are done fast and there is a free loaner to cover unavoidable delays.

There are three levels of plans:

  • Bronze at $159.00 covers computers that cost under $1,000.00.
  • Silver at $279.00 covers computers that costs betwwen $1,000.00 - $2,000.00.
  • Gold at $359.00 covers computers that cost over $2,000.00.

Be advised, a fixIT service plan covers the physical hardware and the base operating system. Issues with data and application loss are not covered.

The limit of liability is based on the actual retail cost of the computer. The liability amount is reduced and tracked as each repair is performed. Software reloads and virus removal do not subtract from your liability amount as long as VCU fixIT does the work.

Computers that cost more to fix than than to replace are replaced at the discretion of SafeWare, the underwrite of the plan. When the replacement occurs, the plan is closed. A new plan would need to be purchased to cover the replacemement computer. When a repair cost exceeds the amount of remaining liability, a refund for the remaining liability is issued at the discretion of SafeWare and the plan is closed.

Ex: If you have a new Mac Book Pro valued at $1,500.00 covered by the Silver VCU fixIT Service Plan and the screen is broken with a covered repair cost of $800.00, you'll have a remaining liability amount on your plan of $700.00. If your next covered repair is $300.00, you'll have a remaining liability of $400.00. If a third reapir is estimated to exceed the $400.00, that amount will be refunded to you and the VCU fixIT Service plan will close on that computer.

To purchase a VCU fixIT service plan from SafeWare, you'll need to bring the computer you want the plan to cover with you to the helpIT Center.

The computer will be checked in for evaluation and registration by a trained and certified technician. This process can often be done while you wait as long as a qualified technician is available.

When you're notified the evaluation is complete, the price of the service plan is based on what the unit cost when purchased.
