Vista Photo Gallery Beta

XP had/has some cool "Power Toys". One of them was an image-resizer.
Vista has no such power toy, but the beta Windows Live Photo Gallery will change that. This download also includes an updated betas for Windows Live Messenger 8.5, Windows Live Mail, and Windows Live Writer. Component can be selected or de-selected for install.

US Flag Gadget

This gadget places an animated American Flag on your desktop computer screen. Plays the national anthem in a short sound clip each time you click on the flag.

DOTNET reinstall

If you need to re-install .NET Framework 1.1 because the ServicePak 1 update won't take, try removing .NET 1.1 and restarting. Then install it again using dotnetfx.exe and then ServicePak 1 immediately afterwards.

CCCleaner

CutePDF

A very cool and free PDF creator. It installs a virtual printer that, instead of actually printing, it creates the .PDF file from any application you havea document that you want to create a PDF from.
The ZIP contains two files. Install CONVERTOR.EXE first, then CuteWriter.exe second. If you install CuteWrite first, it will simply go and get CONVERTOR.EXE from the internet anyway.

Save as XPS/PDF

Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS Add-In for the Microsoft Office 2007
This download allows you to export and save to the PDF and XPS formats in eight 2007 Microsoft Office programs. It also allows you to send as e-mail attachment in the PDF and XPS formats in a subset of these programs. Specific features vary by program.

Excel HotFIX

Who is affected?

All customers and users of Excel 2007 and Excel Services in Office SharePoint Server 2007 are affected. Versions prior to Excel 2007 are not affected.

What is the issue?

The Excel team was made aware of an issue with the display of calculation result numbers within the ranges of 65534.99999999995 to 65535 and 65535.99999999995 to 65536. (Try entering = 850*77.1 into a cell.) Investigation into these reports determined that many calculations resulting in a number within these ranges actually displayed the incorrect value 100,000. This is not due to a calculation error but a flaw with the display of this calculation. The hotfixes as described in KB 943075 and KB 943076 will address this issue.

Pay4Print Drivers

You can print wirelessly to public printers in VCU's computer labs!  You will need to install drivers for each printer you want to print to, and you can have more than one driver installed on your computer.  Note that you must have RamBucks on your VCUCard in order to pick up your print jobs.
