Special VCU Student Price

$1,279 (includes shipping)

This computer meets or exceeds VCU's minimum computer specifications.

What's the catch? There is none. That's your final price. You just pay sales tax. Everything you need is included--power supply, battery, all software, warranty, everything! And if you ever need any kind of repair to the laptop--even if you drop your laptop or run over it with your car--for 4 years, we will fix it right here at VCU or you can take it to any Lenovo warranty center, anywhere in the world, for service at no additional cost!

Link to Lenovo WebsiteHow do you get one? Just follow this link to the Lenovo VCU site. You purchase the computer from Lenovo, and they will ship it directly to you. We don't recommend shipping it to a residence hall room. And someone will need to be there to sign for it, so you may want to consider shipping it to a parent's work address if appropriate.

Can your aunt (uncle, grandparent, cousin, mother's best friend) buy one? Certainly, if they're buying it for a student at VCU. They will be asked to enter the student's name in the order form so we can track it and provide the on-site service to you once you get here, but they don't need any special voodoo codes to purchase a computer for you. Simply click on the link to Lenovo's website and order it online.

You say your grandma is afraid to buy online? No problem! She can call 1-877-222-6426 and speak to a Lenovo representative and order it over the phone. She just needs to tell them that you'll be a VCU student.

Please note that we don't have these computers for sale at VCU. You must buy them from Lenovo, either online or over the phone at 1-877-222-6426. We will have demonstration models available at orientation for you to look at, but you still must purchase your laptop directly from Lenovo.

* Comparing prices? Don't be fooled. This is your FINAL price. Most computer manufacturers advertise a low price on a stripped down model, and then you must add features (and cost) in order to get a computer that will work for you. If you are comparing prices, make sure you configure your computer to match this one, and THEN decide where the bargain is! And remember that 4 years of on-campus ThinkPad Protection, which you cannot get with any other computer.
